1.) Message board races will take place on the San Diablo Drag'nz:2023 message board. The link is availible on the "Related Sites" page. The races will start on every Friday night. There will be two racers per 1/4 mile race, and each player will have two posts to complete the race, one holeshot and one finish line. In the event of "block" races, there will be four racers per race and each player will have four posts to complete, one holeshot, two curves and turns posts and one finish line.
2.) On Thursday night or Friday morning, the line-up for the race will be posted on the board under the title "Green Flag". Every character on the line-up must participate or suffer an default loss. If a player is unable to play a character for a race, he/she must inform the webmaster, (KT) whose e-mail address is availible on the "Summon a Drag'n" page, before the line-up is posted on Friday.
3.) Players will have a certain amount of time (usually three days) to complete the race. Those who do not finish before the deadline take an automatic loss. However, if a player is unable to finish a race because his/her opponent has not replied with a holeshot or finish line post, the last person to post will not be held accountable and those that failed to reply will be given a default loss.
4.) The race begins with a "Green Flag" post. Characters should reply to the Green Flag with a holeshot post. Their opponent will then reply with his/her holeshot post. Then both characters will post their finish line post. For example, the race thread on the board should look like this:
-Green Flag by KT
...Holeshot by Livie Bishop
......Holeshot by Seth Mercer
.........Finish Line by Livie Bishop
............Finish Line by Seth Mercer
5.) Once the race is finished, a judge will decide the outcome of a race based on how well the race had been played out and written by both parties. Whichever is determined to be more creative, well-written, etc, will win. All decisions are made by the webmaster and final.
6.) Players are allowed to write one character per post. For those with multiple characters, the race thread should not look like this:
-Green Flag by KT
...Holeshot by Livie/Honor/Jayden
......Holeshot by Seth/Gabriel/Korbin
Rather, it should look like this:
-Green Flag by KT
...Holeshot by Livie
......Holeshot by Seth
...Holeshot by Honor
......Holeshot by Gabriel
7.) Once the line-up is complete and posted, it will not be changed. If you were unable to let the webmaster know that you are unable to race a character, it's your own fault. No more changing the line up a dozen times. Once it's up, it's up. You have a problem with it, then your bad.
7.) Roleplaying should be conducted in a thread seperate of the Green Flag post and the races.
8.)At any time, the webmaster reserves the right to change or alter the rules in the interest of the message board races and the roleplay. If you have any questions or concerns, find the webmaster's e-mail address on the "Summon a Drag'n" page.
9.) Have fun and game on. | ||||
